Вступ до аналізу конфліктів і розбудови миру

Анотація: The aim of the course is to introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of peace and conflict studies. To this end, the course begins with providing students with a basic understanding of the evolution of peace and conflict studies as an academic discipline while also reflecting on its philosophical foundations. Students will then learn about the discipline’s grand debates, key concepts and subfields and current issues. In reference to real cases, the course familiarizes students with theories about the nature and causes of conflicts, the possibilities for conflict resolution and the foundations of peace. In the course, students are encouraged to critically discuss these and apply them to their own life worlds. At the end of the course, students will have gained a solid basis from which to further delve into the fields of conflict analysis, conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
