The requirements and regulations for the qualification
Bachelor of the field "philology" receives training on subjects of humanitarian and socio-economic, fundamental and natural-scientific, professional and practical training. Bachelor of Philology (training direction - 6.020303 Philology) prepared for work in education, research and publishing area of the economy. Bachelor's degree in Linguistics is an expert on linguistics and literature and folklore.
Program Profile
The leading role in providing training and direction of the specialty "Philology" in NaUKMA the Department of Literature and Foreign Languages, Department of Ukrainian Language and Department of General and Slavic Linguistics, members of the Faculty of Humanities (FHN) has.
In preparing specialists in philology in NaUKMA implemented an innovative model of philological education, characterized by profound study at the graduate level, two main components directly: Literature and Linguistics. Educational and Vocational Training Program is designed for bachelors for 4 years and involves acquiring normative and selective subjects in the amount of 240 ECTS credits.
Key learning outcomes
Bachelor prepared for further education in graduate school specialty 8.02030307 - Philology, Theory, History and Comparative Studies; 8.02030307 - Philology, Theory, History of Ukrainian language and comparative studies and for practical activities that will be mostly analytical and humanitarian skills.
General requirements to the expert:
fluency in foreign languages (English, Second Foreign, one of the Slavic, preferably one of the classical languages);
Professional skills for Bachelor of Philology provides:
-understand the structure of Philology, the division of knowledge of linguistic and literary elements, understand the specifics of each;
-understand linguistics as a special science that studies the structure and functioning of language knowledge in all fields of linguistics, history and modern
Ukrainian language Ukrainian language;
- possess basic concepts, concepts and facts of modern literary scholarship;
- have the ability to quickly learn new theories, concepts, research methodologies that are born as in philology and on the brink of different humanities; be able to properly apply the theory to the comparative literature material. The study of theoretical courses and passing the research practice promotes such practical skills and skills of the specialists as:
- possess modern scientific methods of bibliographic information;
- have the skills to analyze and interpret humanities texts;
- have the skills to research in the field of philology;
- have practical skills application of modern information technology.

Bachelors can work in educational, scientific, literary and publishing industries, print and electronic media, PR-technologies in various funds, unions, foundations humanities, museums, art and cultural centers, etc.

Requirement on examination, evaluation and grates
Students’ assessment is a 100-point rating system in accordance with the Regulation community on the rating system testing.
Criteria for testing and training provided that the rating of each discipline approved by the Department and communicated to students at the first session.
Graduational Requirements
After the fourth year of study in a chosen specialty and after students in the full curriculum (240 ECTS credits) graduate passes the state certification-based defense research paper on linguistics or literature. Qualifying work is an independent research problem philological issue with elements of scientific research. •
