Dr. Michio Kaku, a world-renowned theoretical physicist, co-creator of the string field theory, a famous futurist, visionary, best-selling author, and popularizer of science gave an open lecture at NaUKMA within the Public Lectures of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
The lecture was based on Dr. Kaku’s recent book and represented his visions of upcoming changes caused by development of technologies. He suggested that science in future will concentrate on biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, and artificial intelligence. Everyday life will become digital, and computers will be integrated in everything, present “everywhere and nowhere”. Digital units “bits” will take the role of currency. Technologies exploited in Google Glass will develop and provide people with some increased reality, immediate access to any information. Robots will drive car for us and take care of our health.
Applying to students who visited his lecture, Dr. Kaku invited them to make use of future instead of resisting changes. He said the future belongs to young people.
