“Overcoming Antisemitism: A Practical Experience.
The Case of the Ї Independent Journal”
What was antisemitism like in Lviv in the 1990s and 2000s? Could intellectuals overcome it? How was it possible? How did the Galician regional media and the local population react? What did the Journal “Ї” accomplish there, and what are the consequences of its practical activity today?
Taras Voznyak is a Ukrainian culture expert and political scientist, founder and editor-in-chief of the independent cultural journal “Ї”, executive director of the Ukrainian Center of the International PEN Club. He is the author of numerous articles in Ukrainian and foreign media and of such books as “Bruno Schulz.
