Lilia Hrynevych, Ukraine's Minister of Education and Science, addressed the graduating class of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy at the convocation ceremonies.
In her speech, Minister Lilia Hrynevyh said, "The Mohyla community is firmly committed to the values that were laid by its founding fathers – respect for the individual, humanism, creativity and innovation, democracy and governance, active citizenship participation, and, of course, national consciousness. These are the fundamental values and principles for Kyiv-Mohyla Academy's success. I am not worried about your future. Your Alma Mater provided you the competencies for life that will grant you the opportunities to be successful people. I am also not worried about the future of our country. You were and you remain among those who defend Ukraine and advocate its independence through tough times. Ivan Franko wrote in Zakhar Berkut, "We overcame our obstacles because of our social order, our unity, and our goodwill". And we will have more victories. There is no way back. Remember that you are the safeguard that will not allow Ukraine to return to the past ".
