Public Relations
The Kyiv-Mohyla Department of Public Relations has one if the deepest and the most complex programs in Ukraine. Our professor provides the wide range of knowledge in sociology, political studies, social psychology and the theory of management and administration in combination with a rich practical training in the art of modern PR. This gives our students the best preparation for a real professional work.
The main focus of the Department’s research work is the study of the history of social PR, its formation and development, as well as social analysis of its evolution in Ukrainian society and the effects it had in different spheres of our live. Our professors have worked out a great textbook on the fundamentals of PR, it went through four editions already.
Since 2015 the Department has a Master Program in Public Relations aimed at training the highly qualified PR-managers for all kinds of organizations and companies (governmental structures, NGOs, any other public institutions and business structures). This Program helps the students to brake up wit the stereotypes about PR as a “manipulation technology”, it presents Public Relations as a science and as an art, gives the notion of reputation and professional ethics in of the PR-managers, teaches to understand and be able to take the great responsibility the students are going to carry working in civil organizations and business companies.
The Program’s practical character is supported by the Department’s wide connections and close cooperation with the leading Ukrainian and foreign scientific institutions, governmental structures and business companies, as well as with multiple organizations and associations specialized in Public Relations, both Ukrainian and international.
The Department also offers two certificate programs: one for the Bachelor level, intended primarily for the Kyiv-Mohyla Bachelor students of all specializations, and one for the Master level, opened to the Master students from different universities, as well as to the working specialists.
